The cemetery is on part of 2000 acres originally owned by David Anderson Miller and is part of the property owned by his father David miller, Sr. who came from Aberdeen Scotland to Maryland and then to Ohio Co., Ky.
David Miller, Sr. married Dorcas Holliday in Calvert Co., Md. on Jan. 22, 1787 and they came to Ohio County, Kentucky about 1798.

In his 1847 will David Miller, Sr. gave his land to his son David A. Miller and also provided for his son Joseph Miller and daughter Elizabeth wife of Weaver Barnes.

David A. Miller and wife Maria Williams Miller are buried in this Miller Family cemetery. David Sr. and Wife Dorcas Holliday Miller, their son Joseph and daughter Elizabeth Barnes are buried at Goshen Methodist Church which is located not far from this Miller Family Cemetery on Hwy 273 toward Beaver Dam.

John S. Miller, son of David Anderson and
Maria Williams Miller and a Sgt. in the Union Army during the Civil War is buried in this cemetery.

After the Civil War, David A. Miller gave all of his land to his children. He did not leave a will but reserved a lifetime residence for he and wife Maria with the land given to his youngest son Amos Morris Miller.

The cemetery property was sold out of the family in 1915 by Ada Miller Foeman, daughter of Amos and Harriett Hocker Miller and granddaughter of David Anderson and Maria Williams Miller.
ONE ACRE for the graveyard and roadway thereto was exempted and it is so stated in the deed.
