Print from My Print Center or the Mobile Print website

To print from the My Print Center website, go to

If prompted, log in with your IU username and passphrase.

From this site, you can upload files that you can then release at any device in the Global Student Print Environment.

You cannot print in tabloid print size (11x17) from Mobile Print. To do so, you will need to install the IU Print BYOD Print Package on your personal device or use the print drivers on an STC lab workstation.

Print from the Pharos Print mobile app

The Pharos Print app allows you to send content from your iOS (7.0 or later) or Android (4.03 or later) device to any device in the Global Student Print Environment. No print drivers are required. From your mobile device, you can:

  • Submit documents to print by using the Open In (iOS) or Open (Android) command.
  • Edit your finishing options before you print.
  • Preview your documents before you print.
  • View all of your documents waiting to print.
  • Delete a print job.
  • View your available funds and job fee (when applicable).

To use the Pharos Print mobile app to print from your mobile device, first download and install the app from the App Store (for iOS devices) or the Google Play Store (for Android devices).

To set up the app:

  1. Start the Pharos Print app.
  2. Enter the server address and port number:
    • Server address:
    • Server port: 443
  3. Press Connect. The app will connect to the IU Print server and prompt you to log in.
  4. Enter your IU username and passphrase, and then press Log on, and you're ready to begin using the app.

Print a document by sending email

  1. Using your IU email account, start a new message.
    • To print in black & white (monochrome), send your document(s) to
    • To print in color, send your document(s) to

    • You do not need to include text in the body of the email message. If the message body contains a graphic or more than a few lines of text, the system may automatically create additional documents in your print queue; these extra files can be deleted at the release station if you do not wish to print them, and no charge will be incurred.
    • The most common file types are supported (for the full list, refer to the next section). Be aware that some PowerPoint files may not render correctly.
    • You cannot print web pages directly to the mobile print service, but must first save the web page as a PDF, and then attach it.
    • The mobile print service does not currently support duplex (two-sided) printing.
  2. Attach the file you wish to print, and email it. You will receive email confirmation when the job is submitted and ready for release at a print release station. This may take a few minutes, depending on the size of the document.
  3. After your job is confirmed, you have four hours to pick up your job at a device in the Global Student Print Environment or it will be expunged without fee.

Print website links

For supported document types, you can print a document simply by emailing a web link to it; for example, sending the following URL will succeed because PDF is a supported document type:

On the other hand, the following would not work; to keep the environment secure, the service does not support printing HTM/HTML files: readme.htm

For successful printing of web links:

  • The link should be the first line on the message.
  • Only one link is allowed per message.
