The wooden table, in all its country charm, perfectly combines beauty and durability. It's spacious enough for hosting large dinner parties, while its rustic aesthetic only complements the space. We'd be forgiven for not giving our trim a second thought when choosing our paint colors, but Reese has reminded us exactly how impactful this space can be. She made a case for painting our trims a different color to our walls, and it has changed the feel of her room entirely.
In Reese's case, she has created a monochromatic contrast with her trim, painted in a dark blue tone, and her off-white wall hue – and we love this juxtaposition effect. To follow in her lead, we should opt for two contrastable colors (black or navy and white come to mind), but there's also no harm in experimenting with more vibrant shades for a playful twist on the conventional.
